“I can read in French has been an invaluable resource in my French Immersion classroom. When I started teaching Grade 1 some years ago, I had no idea how to effectively teach reading. This program has done the hard work for me. It is a structured literacy program that supports ALL students in their reading journey. It also allows for teachers to easily spot struggling students and to give them the extra practice before moving forward. The images, the photos, the words and the sentences have been so carefully chosen to help students successfully decode and feel a sense of accomplishment and motivation to keep going. “As we shift our thinking from a balanced literacy approach to a structured literacy approach, Lindsay has been very supportive to help us introduce various literacy initiatives within our school board. We piloted her Phonics Program in a number of our primary classrooms last year and found great success using it.
